a poetry of a passionate love you thought would last forever

stardust, starlight

the death of a burning light

a confession i have to make

how time flies

how time heals

how time dims

how time turns fires into ashes

how it slips through the cracks

how it heals without asking

the bruises don’t ache the same

the fires don’t burn the same flame

what remains are mere images

ordinary as old photographs

where thousands of words would once be painted

now remains like an empty canvas

no spark, no color

no fire, no glow

no song, no voice, not even an echo

no pulse, no breath, not even a shadow

nothing left to shape the story i once was desperate to carry

happy and passionate, in the shadowed corners i held close

but now i dare say,

like the DEAD STARS in Alfredo’s Sky—

a love that once burned bright,

now lingers only in memory’s light
