Daughter: Don’t worry.

Mother: Your dad was a great dad who made one mistake. Should we resent, hurt, and punish him for that one mistake? Only small-minded people believe in “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.” Those with a big heart just accept things for what they are. In that sense, I don’t have that big of a heart. I admit it.

Daughter: Then, how big is it?

Daughter: Your heart is as big as a washbowl. Is it true that that she (the mistress) calls you by your first name? (calling someone by their first name without honorifics anymore means you are close)

Mother: Falling in love isn’t something you can’t control. You can’t help it.

Daughter: Still, it was wrong of her. That’s how it is depicted in the movies.

Mother: It’s fine as long as we don’t do that. Always stay true to yourself. We can never be sure of what’ll happen in the future. Doing so will only prove our arrogance. Just remember this.
